From washing machines to glasses, the world-first awards reveal the top products that will change the way customers live, work and play.

Currys, the UK’s leading tech retailer, has unveiled the winners of its first-ever Ai.mazing Awards, recognising the most exciting and transformative uses of artificial intelligence in consumer technology.
Held at Frameless London, the event was co-hosted by Currys’ very own Chief AI Explainer, Caitlin Mellor, and marked a milestone moment in the brand’s commitment to making cutting-edge tech accessible and understandable for all.
The awards were judged by Currys own AI specialist colleagues alongside a panel of technology experts, who evaluated dozens of AI-powered devices across mobile, computing, TV, kitchen appliances, and connected home and wearables. The winners were selected for their ability to deliver smarter, more intuitive experiences for everyday users.
From a sea of entries, 15 brilliant products and five clever AI assistants made it to the shortlist - each one a shining example of how smart tech is reshaping our everyday lives. While six winners were crowned on the night for their standout innovation, these worthy runners-up wowed the judges too, proving just how exciting the future of AI really is.
The Winners: AI That’s Changing the Game
In the mobile category, real-time voice translation was the standout feature, with Samsung Galaxy AI winning Mobile Innovation of the Year for its ability to effortlessly break down language barriers across calls and conversations. Especially on foldable devices, the dual-screen translation experience showcases a seamless blend of smart software and innovative hardware. It’s a powerful example of AI being used for good, making global communication faster, more accessible, and more inclusive.
Microsoft’s Surface Pro CoPilot+ PC impressed judges with its Instant Planning capabilities, acting as a virtual personal assistant that helps users organise their day, summarise emails, and generate content on demand. Powered by Snapdragon X processors and a high-performance NPY, the device combines sleek design, long battery life, and a deep integration with Microsoft apps to redefine mobile productivity.
TV buyers are also looking for smarter viewing experiences, and LG OLED’s Perceived Object Enhancer won TV Innovation of the Year for its ability to intelligently interpret context and sharpen intricate details on screen. Whether enhancing dynamic textures or high-contrast scenes, this AI-driven feature elevates visual realism to cinematic levels.
In the kitchen, Samsung’s AI Energy Mode Washing Machine took top honours for its AI Wash Mode, which transforms laundry into a smarter, greener experience. It automatically adjusts settings based on load type and fabric, requiring minimal user input, making washing more efficient and eco-friendly.
While, Meta Glasses were crowned Connected Home & Wearables Innovation of the Year for their Smart Glasses, which combine fashion and function, offering hands-free assistance, content capture, and real-time information - all in a stylish design that looks like regular eyewear. With ongoing updates including an AI voice assistant and Spotify integration, they deliver a seamless blend of utility and style for everyday use.
Finally, Gemini stole the spotlight on the night, winning Best AI Assistant as tested against real-world scenarios judged live by Currys’ Chief AI Explainer, Caitlin Mellor. From identifying the cheapest energy provider for a family of four to crafting a detailed date-night dinner using everyday ingredients, Gemini impressed with its clarity, realism, and user-first approach. Whether solving practical problems or interpreting creative briefs, Gemini proved itself as the most intuitive and versatile assistant on the market.
