Currys PC World’s new mobile offer explained
Today, Currys PC World, the UK’s largest technology and services retailer announces the launch of its new mobile offering, an exciting market-first mobile shopping experience, empowering customers to take control when purchasing a mobile plan, device, and accessories at currys.co.uk/mobile.
Currys PC World’s new mobile offer is rooted in enabling customers to create a completely tailored package that is in line with their ever-changing mobile needs, as well as their budget. It signals a fresh and flexible approach to mobile ownership, with consumers able to package up a device, multi-network connectivity, and accessories in a way like never before – and then spread the cost via flexible payment options.
The new mobile offering has been two years in the making and follows feedback from Currys PC World’s colleagues on the challenges customers tell them they face when looking for a new mobile package.
In addition to this, customer research by Currys PC World has found that 93% of its customers want to see a mobile offering that gives them greater value, package flexibility and transparency of cost. A key gripe being the inflexibility of contracts with customers stating that they would rather have more control as to how long their plan length is.
The move also comes as the way customers utilise phones and connectivity are changing, and many Brits are holding onto devices for longer. UK mobile phone users are using more data than ever before, consuming an average of 34% more data last year compared to the one previous*. An increase driven by more people using their mobile network to connect to the internet via computers and laptops, as well as streaming movies and gaming.
Building a package will be easy for customers through the new mobile offer. A customer can choose an iPhone 12, pair it with 100GB data from iD Mobile, and then add on AirPods and an Apple Watch 3, resulting in a fully loaded plan for less than £45 per month, with no upfront cost.***

See through plans with no hidden charges
Separate pricing means customers will always know what they are paying for when it comes to handsets and connectivity. SIM and hardware will be completely unbundled, so again customers can clearly see where their cash is going.
Flexibility to build your own plan
Currys PC World’s flexible monthly payment options help customers to spread the cost while getting and paying for exactly what they want, when they want.** Every element of the plan is independent, enabling customers to build a package that’s right for them. They set their monthly budget based on plan length, handset repayments and the amount they paid upfront, meaning there’s no easier way to pay for their mobile, SIM and tech accessories and no nasty surprises further down the line.

The new mobile offer will be underpinned by market leading deals, from Currys PC World’s exclusive multiyear partnership with Vodafone, ongoing partnership with Virgin Media, and deals from Dixons Carphone’s own award-winning mobile virtual network operator – iD Mobile powered by Three.

The new mobile offer launches on www.currys.co.uk today, as part of the plan to move from four brands, in the UK, to one – Currys. This will be followed by a roll-out to stores early 2022.
