Currys has today confirmed it is renewing its support for the British Red Cross Disaster Fund for a third consecutive year, helping ensure rapid, life-saving support can be delivered to communities affected by crises around the world.
The Disaster Fund aids the British Red Cross as it helps people to prepare for crises, respond quickly when they do strike, and support communities on their long road to recovery from an emergency. This expert, on-the-ground response helps save lives and support communities at their most vulnerable.

In 2025, Currys helped British Red Cross teams respond to humanitarian emergencies in Jamaica, Sudan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Myanmar and the UK.
Thanks to this support, the British Red Cross was able to help the Jamaica Red Cross provide life-saving assistance and emergency shelter to more than 6,000 people after Hurricane Melissa brought widespread devastation and 180 mph winds, damaging infrastructure and displacing tens of thousands.
It also supported the deployment of psychosocial volunteers like Rosalyn, a registered psychologist, to support people whose lives have been devasted.
Speaking about the impact of her work supporting young children impacted by the disaster, Rosalyn said: “We are just giving them a sense of normalcy after they had to leave their safe space, their homes.”
“We’re incredibly proud to support the British Red Cross Disaster Fund for a third consecutive year. The work it does to reach people in moments of real crisis is extraordinary, and we’re pleased to play a small part in helping them deliver life-saving support to the most vulnerable when it matters most.”

David Foster, Global Response Manager, British Red Cross, said:
“Our Disaster Fund plays a vital role in helping us respond quickly and flexibly to crises across the globe. The Disaster Fund can be the difference between despair and hope, allowing people to recover their dignity and rebuild their lives.
“We’re grateful for the continued support from Currys which makes the vital work of our Red Cross colleagues in the UK and around the world possible and allows us to be there for those who need us, wherever and whenever disaster strikes.”
