Currys is on a mission to help eradicate digital poverty by 2030, and therefore pleased to see the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology's newly published Digital Inclusion Action Plan1.

As one of the founding partners of the Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA), Currys is excited to see the DPA’s involvement in this come to fruition. While there is still much work to be done to eliminate digital poverty in the UK, the Government's support is a vital component in achieving this goal.

“This most welcome news on the UK plan for digital inclusion was an absolute delight to see. It’s important for all the people this will make a difference to, and the broader societal benefits it will bring. But it also epitomises why we must be resilient and find the energy to keep going, because in doing so we can and will make a difference and eradicate digital poverty once and for all.”

Moira Thomas Group Sustainability & ESG Director and a member of the DPA’s Board of Trustees
