- Demand for Samsung Galaxy S9 soars as Black Friday gets underway
- 10pm peak traffic time so far as shoppers snap up deals
- Sales via mobile increasingly popular
THIS MORNING, Carphone Warehouse has already seen 14 orders per minute since Black Friday Weekend sales went live online yesterday evening at 9pm.
Shoppers have been snapping up the early deals available across Pay Monthly, Sim Free, Pay As You Go and Sim Only contracts with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Apple iPhone XR being the most popular devices thus far.
The retailer has also reported that sales via mobile have been up 8% compared with last year as consumers took to their devices to purchase new handsets. Traffic to the website peaked between 10pm and 11pm as customers were keen to take advantage of up to £430 off on the latest mobile phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has seen a surge in demand with the Titanium colourway being recorded as the most popular whilst the huge £470 saving on the Apple iPhone XR has also proved popular with savvy shoppers.
